History
The DC Vegetarian Cooking Group started with 12 friends gathering together for small, casual parties of food and wine. Lots of wine.
What did we have in common? Each of us knew how to make one dish really, really well... and were friggin' tired of eating it.
So, we'd cook it up, bring it to the dinner party, and share. After a few weeks, we were creating new favorites and building off of ingredients that we never thought would live in our cupboards.
Fast forward seven years.
Hundreds of people receive invitations to our events.
There's also a Twitter account @DCVeg and a Facebook page.
And those causal, intimate gatherings?
They've turned into monthly potlucks in Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia; with a buffet line that rivals any all-you-can-eat restaurant.
